"Instagramowe ideały to iluzja" - ten przekaz Victorii w duchu #bodypositivity doceniły tysiące jej fanek.

I have stopped only posting photos where I feel like I meet the standards of beauty defined by society. If I saw this photo last year I would have been upset with myself. I don't have visible abs, muscle definition, and I have curves. I would have torn myself apart for looking this way. Sad right? I know. - This wasn't my favourite picture of the ones that were taken, perhaps not the best lighting or angle but WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? I only like a certain lighting or angle because I've been programmed to do so. I have made this up. I have made up what I think I should look like, the lighting, the angles, the way I LOOK, based on those I see. Comparison, that is what this is for me. - Previously, I have lost time, energy, and happiness on constantly telling myself I am not good enough. The more I told myself, the more I believed it, the more those beliefs controlled my life. No longer do I let these things steal that away. - I still compare sometimes. It was the reason I wasn't a huge fan of this picture to begin with, but guess what I also do? I acknowledge I am doing this. I change those words in my head, I change those thoughts and I make sure to remind myself of all the work I've done and all the beauty that goes so far beyond this picture. - Next time you look at a picture and you instantly feel bad about yourself, think you aren't good enough because you don't look that way and you beat yourself up; I want you to acknowledge it and remember this: - You are who YOU are. That person is who THEY are. NOT one is better than the other NOT one is more beautiful. Her beauty may shine, but it DOESN'T take away the light of your own. You ARE enough. - Note: If you only want to post those pictures, and that is what makes YOU happy than keeping doing so.
